An Honorary Oscar should go to actress Maureen O'Hara. I, along with other classic movie fans, would like to see her get a long deserved tribute by the governors of the Academy. This great actress [and a great lady] should honored. What would John Ford's the Quiet Man be without her? Her movies speak for themselves. Give her an Oscar before she is gone. Thank you.

AFRICAN QUEEN SET FOR DVD IN MARCH.

John Huston's 1951 masterpiece is going to be released to DVD on March 23 2010. For anyone who is either a John Huston, Kate Hepburn, or a fan of the great Humphrey Bogart, this is a major release [and yes its not a Warner Brothers release LOL]. I plan to just get a regular vanilla edition of the film. I'm planning on screening this with beer and burgers [or sandwiches] and watch this masterpiece for the first time in years. :) African Queen DVD.
